Today marks the day that I am officially no longer the coach of the Yakima Redskins Football team. After 6 years as the head coach i have resigned and tonday Tony Lee was approved by the league as the new head coach of the Redskins. I want to congratulate Tony who will be a great asset to the Redskins and the league in general. Thank you for all of your help over the years Tony, thank you for always supporting me and the program and all the effort and heart you have given to each and every kid. You are a class act tony and you are going to be a great head coach. Im proud of you and excited for you.
I want to share my appreciation to the YVGKA league for all the great opportunities that the league provides to the wonderful kids of our valley. I want to thank all the parents of the Yakima Redskins for trusting me to coach your kids. It has been an honor to coach these wonderful kids for the last 6 years. I have met some of the greatest kids in the world during this time frame. I am also so thankful for the great relationships I have built with the parents during that time stretch. I want to thank all of the great kids I was so blessed to coach for always giving a great effort to the team and being dedicated to the things I was trying to teach you kids. You guys worked hard during this stretch and I thank you for it and I admire your heart and toughness. Thank you for all the great memories we share with eachother. I also want to thank all the assistant coaches of the Redskins the last 6 years for your selfless dedication to the program and all the help you gave to me and to the kids. I am forever grateful for your service. I also want to thank all the fellow coaches throughout the valley that I coached against, I cherish the friendships I was able to build with you guys and I thank you guys for all your hard work towards the league and to the kids in the league.
